We make it simple to sell your designer bag or accessory with us. You can either submit photos and information about your designer handbag or other fashion accessory through our online form (here) to get a quote or bring your items to our store and meet with our in-house specialists.
Affordable Luxurys staff will be happy to guide you through the entire process.
Note that our specialists have the authority to provide accurate valuations.
How long is my quote valid?
Consignment
Consignment means that we, Affordable Luxury, are commission agents for the seller’s item(s) until being sold. The commission agent is responsible for any loss or damages caused within the selling assignment. Please note that if you choose to consign with us your item(s) must be available for sale during a minimum period of 8 weeks.
In case you choose to take back your item(s) before the time expires you will be required to reimburse us for expenses.
You may change the selling method from “consignment” to “direct purchase”, but never revert from “direct purchase” to “consignment”.
Direct Purchase
Direct purchase means that Affordable Luxury becomes the immediate owner of the sellers item(s). A payment is usually made within 5 business days, depending on what was agreed upon the final purchase deal. The seller may also receive cash-payments if so requested. Please note that right now there might be payment delays because of high pressure. We are very thankful for your understanding.
Please note that Affordable Luxury has the right to withdraw or retract any direct purchase deal or transaction if the item(s) upon the final checkup turns out to:
- Be inauthentic
- Be in worse condition than stated in the sales form online, or upon the first in-store-checkup
- Have latent or hidden defects
Affordable Luxury has the right to cancel any agreement or transaction as a whole, if the seller is not the legitimate owner of the merchandise.
How long are consigned items up for sale?
We always put an item up for sale for at least 4 weeks before deciding on whether we should return the item to the consigner, or try relisting the item(s) with a deducted price. Would the consigner wish to collect their item(s) for sale before 4 weeks have passed, a fee of 1000 SEK/100 EUR will be charged.
Does Affordable Luxury accept clothes?
Affordable Luxury loves fashion and the environment, however, currently we do not accept clothing.

What payment methods do you offer?
Do you offer layaway plans?
How and when am I paid for my item(s)?
The time varies depending on the selling method you have chosen.
Buyout payments are made after the item(s) has been received and authenticated by our team of in-house specialists.
Consignment payments are made once the item has been sold and shipped to the new buyer. Please note that we have a 14-day return policy on shipped online orders, and therefore, the payment may take up to 14-21 business day to be made.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Do you offer worldwide shipping?
Yes. We offer worldwide shipping. The delivery time can vary depending on how far the item has to travel to get to you. You can track the progress of your order with the tracking number you received when you purchased your item.
How will I know when my order is ready to collect?
In case you chose the collect-in-store option your item(s) will be packed as soon as the order has been made and the payment has gone through. We will notify you when your order is ready to collect. It may take up to 1-2 working days.
RETURNS & CANCELLATION
Does Affordable Luxury accept returns?
Returns are only accepted if you’ve purchased your item online – provided that the item(s) has the original sealing, receipt, and all original packaging you received with the bag (such as a box or a dust bag). Would the return miss one or more of the listed things above, or if the condition differs from the condition that we sent the bag in, we may refuse your return.
- Note that we do not accept returns if your item(s) is bought in-store.
However, if you wish to return your online order in-store, you are most welcome to do so. By returning your order in-store, we reduce our environmental impact as well as the possibility of damaging the item(s) on its journey back.
If you are unable to return your order in-store, please send your package trackable with a courier of your choice, to the following address:

Does Affordable Luxury guarantee authenticity?
Yes. Affordable Luxury has been buying and selling handbags since 2010, making us one of the leading platform for pre-loved designer bags and accessories in the world.
Each item is carefully selected and undergoes a strict check by two or more authenticators. Our in-house specialists with more than 50 years of experience combined in the industry, check everything to ensure quality and authenticity before listing the items online and in store.
More specifically our specialists control everything from the details, sewing, hardware, stamps, date codes, materials, to sizing and smell. Ultimately, it all goes down to the item living up to the standard of an authentic piece of that brand.
To further prove that we are certain that everything we sell is authentic, we offer a life-time full refund guarantee, would your purchased item be proved not to be authentic.
Are items sold at Affordable Luxury replicas or authentic originals?
All our items are authentic originals.

How much does it cost to get a quote from Affordable Luxury?
Our estimates and price offers are fully FREE of cost. The price you get from us is the amount you will receive. No further fees will be charged.
Does Affordable Luxury offer valuations?
No. We do not offer valuations.
Where do you get all of your items from?
Do the listed item(s) come with all original accompanying accessories?
It depends. Each item listed on our website is unique. Some may have all the original accessories, including the receipt, some may not.
Do you have a waiting list for specific items or can I be notified when a particular item arrives into inventory?
No. At the present moment we are not able to offer this function.
What condition are the items in?
We have five grades when we judge the condition of an item.

Are pre-owned items cleaned or reconditioned prior to being listed for sale?
Yes. Our in-house specialists hand-pick each item and make sure that every item listed is in great condition.
Are the images shown on your website of the actual items listed for sale?
Yes. If the item is in stock, it is for sale online and in store.
